Pet Project Seeking homes for the holidays

Festive spirit abounds wherever you go these days and animal shelters are no exception. Staff members and volunteers are dressing up pets in Santa hats and jingle bells, decorating their digs with cheery d cor and doing all they can to find homes for the homeless before New Year’s.

Animals for adoption 
Humane SocietyThe Humane Society of Eastern Carolina’s Pet of the Week is Pacific, a small, orange and white female kitten. All animals are spayed or neutered or come with spay or neuter certificates.

Audrey is a 11/2- year-old beagle/ corgi mix 
Audrey is a 11/2- year-old beagle/ corgi mix. The Humane Society of Indianapolis said she is quiet, loves to be held and will make a wonderful companion for walks and rides in the car. To adopt Audrey or another shelter animal, call (317) 872-5650 or visit 7929 N. Michigan Road.

Dog licenses are good investment for owners 
It’s time again to make your beagle legal. Dog licenses for 2007 are now on sale in most Ohio counties. Any dog older than 3 months is required to have a valid tag. In addition to helping some counties pay for much needed spaying and neutering programs, the licenses are important to all dog owners.
